Front brake rotors
Upgrading my 2wheel commanche to 4 wheel drive I have run into a new problem.
bought new calipers, brake pads and rotors and installed but when I tightened wheel lugs the new rotors bind against dust sheilds and other spots causing the wheels not to turn??? Anyone else ever run into this? Checked out other rotors and was told all Jeep rotors are the same depths, from axle in relation to other components. I have shimmed them out with washers but really don't know if I like this. Shimmy at higher speeds. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |
make sure the rotors you purchased are for the donor axle and not your 2wd beam axle. there are differences between years.

Front rotors
The 2wheel brake rotors are mounted on wheel bearings so not exchangablex.
ordered for 1994 4x4 axel and these do not work. Seems orielys Lists two axel types and one is thicker at lug bolt areas. Hope to find out Thanx |
the ABS rotors are slightly larger from what i remember.
