Default Footwell Water Leak

My '98 Cherokee has a water leak at the drivers footwell and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Not sure what the issue is. This has never happened before and I'm a little miffed to be quite honest. Could really use some advice!

Common entry points are the firewall where it meets the inner fenders. And holes in the A pillar next to the windshield. Could be on the side, bottom, or up top. Or anywhere else panels meet. A leaking cowl is possible. Phone a friend. Have them use a hose in different places and see if you can spot the leak from inside. The footwell may be wet, but that doesnt mean thats where its coming in.

Have you pulled the carpet back to check the floorpan? Or checked it from underneath? There is always a chance its getting wet from below rather than up top.

It's funny you brought up the windshield because I had another friend tell me they had a huge problem with leaks every time they sprayed wiper fluid.

Yes, I have taken a look underneath and I don't think that's the issue. You may be onto something with the panels. It's very possible that wear and tear has set in overtime and there are gaps. Having a good friend of mine visit this weekend and he's pretty knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff. Hopefully I'll get it all squared away here soon!
