Just finished putting a new bastard engine in the truck and it idles fine and breaking in the cam at 2000-2500 ran smooth and fine. Went to drive it and it just falls on its face with no power and backfires like crazy.
-New distributor, trailing edge of rotor at the #1 wire post when stabbed at TDC
-Comp cam
-7120 head
-renix block
-99+ intake
-TPS adjusted correctly
-before rebuild it would backfire with the IAT plugged in if it was good or not, but now it doesn't make a difference if it's plugged in or not
-distributor was 180 out so I spun the crank a full turn and restabbed it.
-cam and crank dots lined up when setting timing originally

Right now that's all I can think of that's relevant. If more info or anything is needed let me know. Any ideas what it could be?
