Wheel Offset Question
2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude AWD, stock with 222 65 17 tires looking to upgrade wheels but concerned about offset. OEM offset is +41mm (i believe) and the wheels i'm looking for are 17" x 8" +35mm offset, will i have any issues? Manufactures website doesn't list the wheel as compatible with the jeep but other websites (CARID, etc) list it as a guaranteed fit. Anyone have experience with other than OEM offsets they can share?
Also, If anyone has recommendations on what wheels look good on a black KL that would be even better :) |
6mm of difference in the offset is not very much at all. It's negative offset so it would be moving your rim IN, thus being narrower by about .24 inches per side. If are aren't changing up the tire size drastically I would not imagine you would have any issues with this change. It's literally .24 inches inward.

Figured i would follow up and post some information that might help others when getting aftermarket wheels, the site below has great information when choosing aftermarket wheels including a calculator that tells you the difference in measurements that you will want to consider. Enjoy!
