Timing Chain
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...350dc3d1a9.jpg I bought a used motor. I am replacing all the gaskets, water pump, and oil pump. I took the timing cover off and the chain is out of tolerance. I took the number one spark plug out and spun the motor until I felt pressure blowing up through the spark plug hole. I such a screwdriver down in the cylinder and rotated the crank to get it on TDC. The rotor is pointing at the number 1 on the cap. When I look at the timing gears the crank and cam are at the twelve o’clock position. Is this correct? And what is the deal with the 15 pin count. |
