Default Question on a 'flasher' Speed Turtle

Ok so it's like the title says. I'm a volunteer firefighter in NY and I was looking at a flasher for a headlight and taillight flasher(only to be used in the event I need to use my POV to direct traffic). Now rather then buying a 80 dollar HLF from Whelen and having to direct wire it in(which I really don't want to do given the factory warranty) I found a device called Speed Turtle(http://speedturtleengineering.com) which has compatibility with the WK but they don't list compatibility with the KL. Now my question is anyone on here running one of these on a KL and if so any issues?

dont know much about that model, but you could just install an old style wig/wag flasher.

Also, just to point out that if you are not fire/police cert you may have an issue with LEO, after all it is illegal to have a flashing headlight on none police vehicles....also know as (take down)

Only to be used when directing traffic. I was looking for something to flash the factory tail lamps and DRLs. A old school wigwag may not work due to the lamp out sensing

using diodes to prevent that, and wire through separate power supply and relay.....in other words, providing power to the lights from outside the factory wiring

or you could put a light bar on the roof and call it a day....that's what I have.....let's face it, they don't even see the fire truck half the time and I have been nearly run over a few times from jackasses trying to make a u turn over the damn flares

I thought about doing it that way first, but I still have the factory warranty in play....unless I get some plugs and build a harness that can plug and play...hmm. Thanks *****’s.

if you got matching plugs and sockets that would work , would be just like hooking up a snow plow harness

I actually just heard back from SpeedTurtle. They plan on rolling out support this summer.
