Mopar/

I rep;aced my Cabin Air Filter on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee, with the Mopar replacement filter (cost about $25.00) I noticed on the filter that it is made by Denso. I could have gotten a Denso replacement filter for less than $7. from, Rock Auto. Is this the same filter?

Thanks

I guess nobody knows the answer! Next year when it's time to replace the filter I'll try the sub $7 Denso and see if I notice a difference.
!.

From the info on Rock Auto, it appears to be the same. They state Denso as the OEM supplier, and the description says OEM specs. I think you'd be safe, with perhaps only some small cosmetic difference.

My thoughts as well! A good way to save a few bucks.

Rock Auto will charge you a few dollàrs to ship. eBay is a better option. I owned an air conditioning business and in my home I alsways bought cheap filters which I replaced often. Complex filters will restrict airflow and will not really improve air quality. Any cheap carbonized filter is all you need. Change it as often as you want. I do mine every year unless I'm in really dusty areas with the windows down.

You are right Rock Auto charges shipping. but even after adding shipping still a lot cheaper than the Mopar filter!. I'm going to buy a Denso filter next time from wherever it costs less. I don't trust no name CAF's which may come from China.

I try to avoid contributing to the chinese economy in every purchase I make, however... Denso, the second largest automotive parts company in the world, is headquartered in Japan but manufactures most of its parts in India, Indonesia and China. Almost impossible to get domestic goods nowadays. You won't know its origin until you buy it and look on the filter itself for a country. The OEM engine filter on my 2016 Trailhawk had a China stamp on it:icon_eek:

NO Mopar..............

I bought a filter for mine at Autozone.
But, you have to watch out when you install it.
You have to wiggle it just right to get it in the slot at the back of the
housing, or you'll think you got the wrong filter!!
