Front Tires "Scrubbing"?
 

I have a 2019 Cherokee Latitude and have noticed an issue.
This issue did not start right away, it seems that at about 4000-5000 miles this started.
While turning I get a scrubbing of the outside tire, turning left the right tire will scrub and the left while turning right.
At this time the right tire is scrubbing more then the left.
I rotated my tires and the scrubbing got worse.
I have been to 2 different dealers, 1 dealer test drove with me and proceeded to .drive it without me for quite a bit.
The other dealer did not test drive it at all.
Both said that this is normal in all wheel drive cars.
The scrubbing is like the time that I was on dry/wet pavement in my JK 4 wheel drive and the front tires would scrub.
But as I understand it the Active Drive normally drives the Front wheels until a slippage is detected and then the real wheels start to gain power to help with traction.
So has anyone else had this issue?
If so how was this issue resolved?
By the way I do not have this issue with my Volvo AWD(wife's car) or my son's Subaru AWD.

Thanks for the questions.
It feels as if the tire is rubbing the pavement very hard, like the tire is walking forward while the tire is turned to the left.
Noise but also feel in steering wheel.
I assume that there is some tire wear since when I rotate the tires it issue is worse.

Is your scrubbing issue only when turning the wheel while stooped or slow speed like parking the car and having to steer to extreme right or left? If yes then thats normal

Alignment was good in the front but way off on the rear.
Tires scrubbing at low speeds, like backing out of a driveway, pulling off of a stop sign turning.

"Normal",can not agree with that.
I have driven three other 2019 Cherokees, a 2018 and a 2017 with the same drive system and none of those are scrubbing.
Filed a complaint with FCA and going back to the dealer that said it was normal without even driving it.

I am having the same problem with our 2019 Cherokee. We just put a new set of tires on the front. It acts like it is in 4 wheel drive all the time. Did you ever get any resolution?

If you only replaced the two front tires you do have a problem, larger diameter new front than old rear. 4 WD need to replace all four. Also the KL goes into AWD below 40 degrees not just when sensing slippage.

they were the same stock tires on the front as they were in the back. Front wore twice as fast. In fact the back are still like new. It just seems like it is in 4 wheel drive all the time.

I have noticed the same issue. Which seems odd since the trailhawk is an all wheel drive vehicle(mostly front wheel drive) not a true 4x4, independent axles and all.
I have owned many Subarus and never had this issue.

There's a TSB for this, which is corrected by a firmware update. Differential...

Actually, I felt the same thing last week with my 2016. Felt as if it was in 4wd on dry pavement. Hopefully it's just a firmware fix.
