Compass calibration...SOLVED

Hello everyone. I have a 2018 Altitude 4x4 and just wanted to share my recent experience in case anyone else is searching for information on their compass not working. The in-dash compass was never calibrated when I purchased the vehicle new. I tried calibrating it in a parking lot by driving in a circle but the calibration test would fail immediately every time. While I was in for the 1st oil change I mentioned the compass wasn't working so the dealer could calibrate it. At first they had no luck calibrating it, so they ordered a new module which also didn't solve the issue. After a week of back and forth with tech service, I was told that the wrong mirror had been installed by the factory and was the cause of the compass not calibrating. I am happy to say that the new mirror has corrected the issue and after a week I have my Jeep back with a working compass. I hope this helps someone!
