Antenna Removal
I own a 2914 Cherokee and just bought a SUP. I have crossbars on my jeep but it looks like the antenna is too long and will get damaged if I try to load my SUP onto my roof. Does anyone know if you can remove the antenna temporarily?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It is screwed in, you can remove it. Just twist the "pigtail" portion counter-clockwise. It will probably be on there pretty tight.
You will lose most of your radio reception.
There are easy to install aftermarket options like stubby antennas, and shark fin antennas. They are also dirt cheap.
