2018 Trailhawk Transmission concerns
My new Cherokee has the 9 spd transmission and it is weird to shift it manually. I like to shift down to decelerate. There is a long lag when you shift it down. You might as well use the brakes. It even lags when you upshift ! The service manager says that's the way it is. Very disappointing ! My old Patriot with the 6 spd shifted instantly in manual mode. Don't know if I would have bought this knowing that it doesn't shift properly manually. Any tips or upgrades ? Thanks....Greg

Thank you. How do I get in touch with a Case Specialist ?

The thing I found weird on my '19 is that it's backwards, pull back for up shift, push for downshift.

That is normal for Autostick, it isn’t really “backwards”. Other makers use the same movement, BMW and Dodge for example. Infinity and Nissan use the opposite movement. It just takes getting used to. . . |
