2017 KL 9 Speed Transmission Woes
Hey all! I need help with my ongoing issues with the 9 speed transmission. I have a 2017 Latitude ADII that is going into the shop for the 4th time on Monday to have the continuing issues of not accelerating until I give it half throttle, then it drops into a low gear and takes off like it's in a drag race.
first time in was for the software recall. Second time for a blown seal between the transfer case and the transmission which also damaged the stub shaft. The third time for the service shifter message that replaced the shifter, shifter module, PCM, software update and memory cleared. I almost decided to bite the bullet and trade it in, but since it lost its value, I can't. I love the Cherokee and if I can get the transmission resolved, I will definitely feel more confident driving from Washington to Ohio next month. What can I tell the dealership to get the transmission replaced with a reliable one or is it just the computer that is preventing everything from working correctly? Is there someone who can act on my behalf maybe that knows how to get this resolved? |
