Default 2017 Cherokee cooling fan replacement

After spending a lot of time trying to pinpoint the source of a noise from under the hood, it looks like one of the two electric radiator fans is failing. The noise I've been hearing is replicated when spinning one of the fans by hand, so it looks like I need to replace the fan assembly. The assembly is unbelievably expensive from the dealer ( to the tune of $800!), but after market models are significantly less expensive.
I have tried searching for instructions on how to change out the fan assembly, but can't find anything. I'm hesitant to plop down a few hundred bucks on a new fan assembly before I get an idea on what it takes to place it.
Has anyone replaced the fan on their 2017 Cherokee? If so, can you share how you did, or point me towards some instructions on how to do it?

Many thanks!
