Default 2014 Cherokee Limited Rear View Mirror - Auto Dim

Anyone know what the yellow light is on the auto dim mirror? See pic - it's at the bottom between the Assist and 911 buttons - When I bought the Cherokee, this light was on all the time - now it's off and never comes on. Nothing in the user manual...crazy.

Thanks - Chris

Page 130 of the 2014 Owners Manual:

9-1-1 Call

1. Press the 9-1-1 Call button on the Rearview Mirror.

NOTE: In case the 9-1-1 Call button is pushed in error,

there will be a 10 second delay before the 9-1-1 Call

system initiates a call to a 9-1-1 operator. To cancel the

9-1-1 Call connection, press the 9-1-1 Call button on the

Rearview Mirror or press the cancellation button on the

Phone Screen. Termination of the 9-1-1 Call will turn the

green LED light on the Rearview Mirror off.

2. The LED light located between the Assist and 9-1-1

buttons on the Rearview Mirror will turn green once a

connection to a 9-1-1 operator has been made.

Nope - My page 130 is not that - This is a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited. The light is yellow and was on for the first 5-8 weeks I had the Jeep - now it's off...no clue as to why it was on and why it's off now...and the lens is yellow and when it was on it was yellow.

Both the hard copy of the Owners Manual for 2014 and the download copy have the information on page 130, not to be confused with User Manual that came with your 2014 Limited KL. You can call 1.877.426.5337 and have them send the hard copy manuals, you will need the last eight digits of your VIN. You can go to MOPAR Owners Connect, https://www.moparownerconnect.com/OC...x%3Freload%3D1 at the bottom of page find MY VHICLE then Owners Manuals and download. You can also search recalls on that same page.

Dealer thought that when the auto dim feature was on, the light should be on. Strange how no one really knows what this light is for....

When my auto dim is on - there no light and the auto dim is on for sure - you can easily tell at night whilst driving.

Hi! Mine only comes on when I'm using either button. Did you try going into your settings and resetting the system? Maybe that would work?
