I run 33x12.5's with a 4.5" lift. I don't rub at all and I don't have bump stops (I know I know, I need em. They just always slip my mind until I go wheeling). I have trimmed the front fenders though.

Full stuff in the rear, no trimming, and no rub. You can't see but the other front tire is full stuffed and it doesn't rub either.

My rear was fine, all the issues were with the front. After the trim job I'm good to go. I trimmed the back to kind of even out the look.

Your rear end looks stiff as hell.

That was about an hour after I put the lift on. I literally drove around for about 20 minutes, then hit some trails. Its rides much better now. it did have quite a bit of rake in the rear (almost 2" higher than the front) before the leafs settled.

edit:

Heres a picture from about an hour down that same trail, same day. I think the angle on the first picture makes the rear look stiff, cause the rear end was flexing about as good as leafs will do.

Hey kevo, how do you like that front bumper? I just put a similar "style" bumper on mine and now I can't get over stuff like I used to. I just dig the nose into things all the time. I guess I could get taller front springs, but I don't wanna mess with the cog that much.

If my wallet ever recovers from getting this house im just gonna buy some cragars with like 3.75 BS and 33x12.5s and trim it up, and add a little bumpstop. Does my front end look kinda low for a 4.5 inch lift? or is it just because the back is lower? This is about 3 hours after the install...and its on little 30x9.5s.

That is essentially what I have. I don't think it looks too low. You'd be surprised how different it looks in person once you chop the fenders up. I think with trimming, 3.75 BS wheels, and some bump stops, the 4.5" and 33" tire combo is perfect. Not too big not too small. Before I put my Jay Leno chin winch bumper on, I was able to get over anything I attempted.

XJ Stryker 09-02-2012 06:22 AM

Tow so if i break i atleast got a ride back to my place!

huntingman2706217 09-02-2012 08:34 AM

Id pull ya home... Long pull for me... Lol... Costs more gas though :(

94XjSport94 09-02-2012 04:52 PM

I would say get it aligned and drive it because like you said you was use a lot more gas towing it there and back... Then the other plus is you got an alignment lol
