Yet another new member from Ohio
Just wanted to say hello from Franklin Ohio.
I am currently working on a 98 xj that I inherited back from my 18 year old son. I bought it for him when he was 15 and we fixed it up a bit and he started driving it at 16. His grandmother bought him a grand when he turned 18 so I have the 98 back.
I am not new to Jeeps. The wife and I have had 2 trail riders, the first was a 1975 CJ-6 and the second was a 97 TJ. I have also had a CJ-5, YJ, and counting this one 5 XJs.
This is a great forum from what I have seen so far and I look forward to getting to know some of you as well as getting the XJ done. My 15 year old son and I got the rear lifted and t-case dropped last weekend, no broken bolts yet but the thing is fighting me every step of the way.
Once the lift is done I am going to pull the front axles for new hubs, u-joints and a pinion seal (maybe bearings, havent pulled the diff cover yet).
Sorry for the long winded introduction. Everyone have a good day.
