Y2K XJ Milllenium B2
As many of you have done in the past, I have been in the shadows, lurking & learning, gleaning valuable information as to who, where, what, when, how & what works what don't, all lessons for proper care & feeding of XJ.
I will put all lessons learned into practice as I announce adoption of Y2K B2. Yes, I now have a "new to me" 2000 Green 4dr 4x4 XJ rescued from the clutches of a squid who shall remain nameless--- as for the designation-B2- Y2K will carry on with the name of my dearly lover & departed Dodge ramcharger "Bert (short for Bertha) the unstoppable".
A little history on B2 she was originally purchased by the preverbal "little Ol'Lady" then sold to above mentioned "squid" then rescued by me there by making me owner #3 at 130k on the clock.
Y2K B2 has been fortunate to have spent her entire life it the warmth & rust free environment of Arizona & has the normal signs of wear & tear suspected of a lady of her age. She has not been modded, except for a mild lift done by "squid" who, however had good sense enough to have a 3.5 lift professional installed.
Enough about Y2KB2 allow me to introduce my self, I am a 70 yr old kid that rides a BMW Enduro & owns a restored Harley. I have ridden & raced my entire life plus done restorations on BLMC Austin, MG, Mini Coopers & Land Rovers. Sooo this is not my first rodeo. I hope you will follow along as I restore & equip Y2K B2 into the Overland Expo rig I've envisioned these last few years.
Planed:
#1 Smittybuilt bumpers Fore & Aft w/ 9000# winch
#2 Interior mod to an Overland camp kitchen
#3 Roof rack w/ proper lighting & storage
#4 Restoration of body & add-on parts make a reliable overlander
#5 And on & on & on & on Well you get the drill
