When in Rome...

Since moving to Denver this past May, I felt like I was the only one not driving something offroad capable.

I have a "new" project, a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. This is my 2nd Cherokee owned first was a 1999 Sport. I like the lack of electrical features with this one. :D

Paid $1,500, so not too bad of a deal. Engine has around 180k.

It needs a few things before it can make it into the mountains and back.
* Water pump, new or rebuilt transfer case, minor suspension work, etc...

I look forward to obtaining a ton of information from this forum.

Here are a few pics,

I believe it has a 4" lift already. There are Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shocks on it.

I don't plan on running more than 31"s on it, so the height should be fine (until the mod bug hits me).

First plan of action is to fix the water pump, and upgrade the thermostat, radiator and hoses while I am in there. Then on to the transfer case/speedo gauge and suspension. Once all that is done the interior needs a few things.

After she's running well enough to drive on a weekly basis, then it's on to mods/accessories.

My goal is to have her ready for ski trips by January.
