Hello to all.

StevoSRT here. I come from the land of Mopar Performance and all that fun stuff. I am a mod on some of the other SRT and LX platform related forums.

I am over here looking for a little bit of help and insight as I am helping a buddy of mine who is looking to buy a jeep.

Catch is he's only got $5k max to spend.

I'll end up posting in the right section, but basically am looking for some things to look for when looking over one to purchase (any known trouble spots to check first sorta thing).

Depending on what we find, I may be able to talk him into an XJ. I am no jeep expert, but I had a roommate in college who was hard core into his XJ and I picked up a thing or two from him.

PS....heres my car....its no jeep but I like it

I have an 09 Ram 1500 4x4 for the bad weather days....
