Sorta New....
hello everyone, i just sold my honda element and now im in the search of a cherokee. ive seen a couple that i like, i just want to know 2 things:
1: should i be scared of ones with a lot of miles? like 100,000 , 120,000 , 150,000 ?
2: should i buy ones that already have parts? like a lift, rims, etc.
thank you

I'd go stock for sure, that way you can mod it yourself, and s for the mileage, i tihnk it just depends. What kinda condition it's in and personal preference

Okay so a $400 fix is enough to say no even if you get a good deal on a 2k?? A lot of people spend twice that chasing problems on any other year. I get annoyed by that comment. Like all 2000 and 2001 are just trash.

I bought mine mostly built with a lift, tires, lockers, gears, etc, and I ended up replacing front and rear springs, all the shocks, the roof rack, and I have to rebuild the rear differentials due to the bearings being bad. Mine only had 70,000 miles when I got it in July which was the best part, but seriously, you are most likely better off buying a stock cherokee. Then build it up and you can have all new parts and don't end up replacing everything anyways because its worn out like I had to.
Also welcome to the forum and congrats on deciding on a cherokee they are great cars.

I would figure out how much you want to spend first. What's your budget?
Most of us modify our jeeps so if you are like most of us, then you should probably determine what you want to do as far as upgrades and factor that into it too. I personally had to take this into consideration, because I wanted at least 3.5" of lift which adds a lot to the cost compared to a budget boost.
