Well second time round of owning a grand cherokee and I though it was about time to register here as I was reading through so many of the posts!

A couple of years ago I had a 2002 4.7 V8 Overland, which nearly bankrupted me with UK fuel prices so this time when I needed a 4x4 I brought a 3.1TD on a 2000 plate instead. Firstly because it is cheaper to fuel but also because the way the road tax bands work a 2000 car cost half the amount of a 2001 car to tax.

However, I felt sorry for this Grand Cherokee and it had not been looked after but I managed to get it for a low enough price I was happy to take it on as a project.

It has 3 issues, the first is easy, the aux belt tensioner is ruined so that needs changing, it has an injector problem so they need changing as well and finally it has a brake problem which I'm stuck on and need some help with but I'll start a separate thread for that, hope one of you guys can help.
