Hey guys, I live north of Indianapolis and recently bought my first Jeep. I have been going over the Forums gaining tips, tricks, and now advice. I bought a 1999 XJ Limited a couple weeks ago. It's the 4.0 with 130000 on the clock. the body is a little banged up from the trails but the motor and interior are really good. I have been going through and fixing and replaceing stuff trying to get it ready for some trails and DD of course. New brake lines, new air box, coolant flush. I want to jump into cleaning the motor next. Anywho I just wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone because I have already found some great advice. If anyone has any tips for a first time Jeep owner they would be appriciated.Have a good one.

Apply SimpleGreen to a warm motor and rinse after it sits a little while. Great stuff!!

 

Broad Ripple area here, so I thought I'd reply. I'm in the market for one myself. Going to test drive a 2001 XJ sport with 140k on monday. New to jeeps myself so I'm diving head long into it.
