Hi, my name is Mike. I live in Marietta, GA and have been involved with Jeeps my whole life. I am more into atvs but love my Jeeps. I have a 1942 ****** and 1977 CJ5. I sold my 1990 Limited XJ and now looking to purchase another XJ.
How many miles have you all gotten out of your XJ's? I put 185,000 on my 1990. Probably going to purchase a 2000-2003 model 6cyl. Any words of advice?
Thanks and I am looking forward to hanging out with you all.

Welcome from Texas. Used to live in Marietta and aquired all of my XJs while living there and still retain a 90XJ Limited. Where do you live as I used to live in the Sprayberry area.

Thanks for the warm welcome. This is the kind of info I am interested in since I am looking at buying another Cherokee.
BlueXJ, I live off of Jamerson Rd just up from Lassiter H.S. I grew up and learned about off-roading in a small town called Heflin, AL.
I have noticed that you can pick up 2000-2001 Cherokees around here with 100,000 or so miles for about $3000. Is this a pretty common price?
I heard the 4.7L V8s were bad engines in the Grands. Don't some of these have the 4.2L?
Are there any XJs or Grands that I should stay away from?
Sorry for the questions, I guess I could start searching and find the answers myself.
