'nuther new guy
Hi all. I'm looking to buy my first Cherokee. I have my eye on an '01 with about 64K on it for about $7800. It's a police package truck from the local state police barracks. Are these trucks high on the want list or are they to be stayed away from? It looks to be in nice shape but I have yet to drive it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Well, here's an update: I got to drive the cop Jeep and it was very cool! Has a tight posi rear end, has the idle bump up switch, ran good, looked good. The bank won't finance it for me, they say it's too old. An '01 too old... WTF

A different bank came through, I now own a 2000 Cherokee Sport 
88K 4.0 auto. Runs great. Looks good. The side steps have to go though. Steering is a little less willing to self center, I think it needs a tie rod end somewhere. But, I finally have one and like it allot!
