NorthWest Lower Michigan
I am in the process of finalizing the order of a 2019 Trailhawk Elite. I am just waiting on pricing from the five dealers with-in 75 miles of home. So far only one has replied with their out the door price, one wants me to call back and the other wants me to come in and talk, I will probably not be doing any more communications with them. Shame, I provided them with the Model, Packages and color and they want more information. I will place my order in early February as I want delivery in late March, early April and I am guessing a 6-8 week delivery schedule from the factory. I really wanted the Overland but I can't get it with the 3.2L V-6 and the Active Drive II. Active Drive only comes with the 2.0L and I don't want to be a first year Ginnie Pig on an Italian designed engine. I did like the interior color options as we really don't like Black as it gets so hot in the summer, but I hate not getting the 3.2L V-6 even more.
I am getting ready to retire and I want an all/4 wheel drive to replace the 2005 Ford Focus I have been towing behind my Motor Home since 2009. There are only two light weight vehicles out there, the Chevy Equinox and the Cherokee and after driving both we decided we liked the Cherokee. This is under the 5000 pound capacity of my Motor Home so I think I will be OK. They both are a lot heavier than the Focus so I will be going up the mountains a lot slower than before. I guess I will be going from 25 MPH up-hill to 15-20 MPH . That is what the right lane is for and believe me I use it. The old Cummins 12 Valve in the Motor Home is only 230 HP and I don't want to play cowboy and jack it up into the unreliable range. |
Welcome to the family and the forum... lots of good info here :)
