Factory Service Manual #1
Chilton's #2
Don't bother with anything else.

With a little careful shopping and bidding, you can score the FSM on eBay for a few bucks. I've got a collection going from 1963 forward, most of them bought off of eBay, and I think the most I've paid for any of them has been $30, shipped.

A Chilton's will run not-quite $20, and will cover the basics.

Don't bother with Haynes - I have one, and it's primarily used to even up the odd leg on my workbench...

it seemed like the issues had to do specifically with what year and model you had as to which was better. any 99ers got a preference?
