NOOB!!!
hey everyone, im new to jeeps and xjs. i bought my first xj a couple of months ago. it already had some work done to it, but also needed some fixing. i have big plans for this little trail rig....heres some pics
the day i brought her home
as you can see it needed an axle shaft, i got that fixed....
my brother and a friend took it for a test drive
they got it stuck and had to pull it out....
i got a good deal on this thing. came with 2 sets of wheels/tires, a winch, 2 5 point harnesses, its lifted, with an exo cage. it wouldnt start so i got it cheaper. it still doesnt start correctly and im currently trying to figure that out.
im ordering h1 hummer beadlocks and an axle truss for my new front axle. i also bought a high pinion dana 44 front and a dana 60 rear axle.
ill post up my progress in a build thread..

I haven't driven it yet...but my brother told me the 3.55 highway gears in it make it have no *****...
After i do my d44/d60 swap...im not sure what ill do with these. Its got a dana 30 front and a 8.25 rear. If somebody wants them....ill sell them.

Probly a 5 series gear, hummer h1 beadlock wheels on h1 37s, 4 wheel disc brakes, eventually but not right away lockers. Probly be an arb front with either some type of inertia type locker like a powertrax something of that sort or maybe just weld it solid....thats later on tho.
T&t customs makes a weld on truss to make the front axle an easy swap. Im going that route. For the rear, ill just move the perches.

Thanks! This site seems pretty cool so far...ive been cruising it a bit before i posted...
Right now it has some weird home built radius arm setup. I think when i get into it ill probly go 4 link. I havent planned that out yet. I want all the flex i can get....itll see mostly trails, some rocks, and some mud...
The front axle is getting a high steer setup as well.
