Newbie xj owner in Cle Elum WA
I'm so new to jeeps I haven't even purchased mine yet
But I will be buying it this weekend
I'm definitely not new to building and modifying rigs though, the last truck I built was a 76 dodge power wagon on 6" of lift, 37s, dana 60s front & rear, and a built 400 big block, hence my name on here
I should be bringing the xj home this weekend, if we can agree on a price. I went and already test drove it and checked it out last weekend but the thing was running poorly, dying and not restarting. However when it did run it ran great, and drives down the road better than I thought was possible, seems to like to run wide in corners though.
Anyhow told him to get it fixed then we'll talk, he called today said it was all healed up, turns out it was a faulty CPS, which I suspected. I should have just talked him down more on the price and fixed it my self but I didn't want to deal with it
Here's the CL add: http://yakima.craigslist.org/cto/2266737289.html
The first thing I'll be tackling is the interior and make it nicer for the occasional daily driver. I generally car pool with my wife in our other car, and during the summer I ride my motor cycle a lot of the time. So my intention for this rig is a very capable wheeler that can also serve as a daily driver if it has to.

Oh yea, the CL ad I posted is an older one but has a more detailed parts/mod list. His newest ad is asking $3,400. Please give me your honest opinion is this still over priced? a good buy? about average?
