Newbie from Jacksonville with tire question....
Hey everyone!! Newbie here from Jacksonville, FL.
2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6cyl stock (for now!!!) AWD (I think, no 4x4 switch). Purchased WK in the fall 2012 in CT, then relocated to FL in the spring of 2013 and now I'm looking to go back to CT in the near future (next 2 years or so, too dam hot and freakin' boring as heck!!). But before i do, i'd like to set her up for the winters the WK will be facing by giving her a tight budget 2" body lift, wheel spacers (not sure of size as of yet) and some tires to fill the wheel wells to give it a better looking stance other than stock. Hence, my reason for the title. I need to know what size tires will look good without any rubbing or modifications to the wheel well given the above I mentioned. I will be using the stock 17" rims for now until i find the $$$$ to upgrade. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!!! |

I'd recommend 30x9.5 for the tires. 31s will probably rub on 2".

I had a 2" with 31's and they rubbed pretty bad until I went to 3" lift.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!!
Did a little more research and it seems 31's will not work with a 2" lift. This is a budget lift and will be more of an everyday driver once back in CT. Will 265/45R17's work? What does everyone else out there have for tires with a 2" lift? |
