Default Newb out of Central Fla.

Hello everyone! Just picked up a 2001 Cherokee Sport 4dr. Wife never wanted to go off road with our JK so I found this one and jumped on it. Pics to follow later today or tomorrow.

Quick plans are to join Orlando Jeep Club, get out, meet, talk shop and of course modify the new ride. Not sure what mods yet but lift and appropriate General Grabbers to start. Details as i learn more about the Jeep from the forum and it's inmates!

lift - i recommend a long arm lift 4.5. Usually people start with some sort of 2 or 3" budget boost (BB) and then end up going to 4.5. You'll likely need SYE for this lift and longer or relocated brake lines. Should be able to do a 33" tire with this lift.

Thanks for the welcome and the tip on the lift guys! For some reason my computer is telling me there are no pictures on my phone even though I am looking right at them.

Will post some pics from a camera tomorrow. Learning a bunch on this forum!

Have a pic of the jeep. Interior is stock and looks brand new. It was really well taken care of. Updates as it is upgraded!

Welcome to the site! Funny you say your wife doesn't want to take the JK off-road. I'm trying to convince the wife to buy a JK....hope she doesn't say that same thing! Hopefully a few trips in the XJ will convince her it's ok!

She did not even want it. Then she decided to take it to the mall and shopping for the day. I dropped the roof for them and that was all she wrote!
