Well if you're looking for an XJ just a Cherokee not grand they don't come in a v8 stock. The 4.0l is really stout and the newer ones turn some horses.
What year model you looking at? 99+ are more sought after because of the good HO block, improved intake manifold, HP Dana 30 front axle and a 29 spline 8.25 rear mostly.

Let is know what you find and we can help you look it over and see what you are.

im looking for a cherokee, cherokee sport, or grand cherokee around the years of 91-96, iv found a couple im interested in, one being the 5.2l v8 but it needs a tranny, and all the others being a 4.0 inline 6, i plan on raising it 3 inches or so if it is not already raised. i know very little about the motors but figure it should be easyier then damn hondas with no room to move lol. any sugestions on what i should look for on the jeeps? any known jeep issues, i plan on useing it as my daily driver and every so often little mud toy

thank you everyone
