New from Raleigh, NC. 98' XJ, Lifted, Locked, 35's, ARB, Warn, ect
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. My name is Kyle, I'm 25, and live in the Raleigh, NC area. Just bought a 1998 XJ Cherokee Sport. It has 125k on the clock and looks and runs great. It's loaded with leather seats, power everything, and the overhead computer. It's my first jeep, but not my first modified vehicle. Been in the car scene since I've had my license. Have owned a N2O Mustang, Blown Cobra, and now have an SRT-4 and the XJ for my daily.
It has the basics:
-Teraflex 6.5" short arm lift
-1.5" coil spacers up front
-swaybar quick disconnects
-ARB front bumper with warn 8000lb winch and 2 Hella lights
-Custom welded rock sliders
-Roof rack with 4 Hella lights
-Chrysler 8.8 rear with disc brakes
-4.88 gears all around
-Detroit lockers front and rear. Rear is a full locker.
-35" tires. Soon to be 33's on MT wheels and Goodyear AT's.
-Custom rear bumper with high lift jack and 5th wheel swing mount.
-Functional hood vents
-Magnaflow cat back exhaust
-intake with intake spacer
-flip out TV, door speakers, and a single 10" woofer
-H4 headlight conversion
-Cut fenders
-Fender Flairs for cruising on the street. Easily removed when on the trails.
That's about all I can think of. Wasn't really in the market yet, but for the price I paid, he was giving it away. I'm looking for some local jeep/trail clubs or meets. I just moved to the area and haven't found any good places that require 4wd.
Anyways, here's a couple pics of the XJ when I went to look at it, and the day I brought it home.

Welcome buddy. I live in Raleigh as well, around the Garner area to be specific. We'll have to meet up or something. I have one good trail around here but it's not so easy on paint lol

Thanks for the compliments guys, she's pretty much a street queen, but I'm hoping to get it on some decent trails before long. These wore out 35's need to be replaced before I go anywhere off road.
I swear I saw your jeep on Leesville Rd this afternoon. Ours do look a lot alike though!
Yeah I'm down to meet up sometime. Besides the guys at 4 Wheel Parts, I haven't had a jeep guy go over the truck. Not sure if i want to tear up the paint quite yet lol, the truck is actually in VERY good shape inside and out for a trail rig.

I hear that, I'm sure bheath and I will schedule another wheeling trip here before long. You're welcome to ride along with us. And the jeep looks pretty stout in the pics, especially the engine bay. Can't say i've ever seen one that clean
