New from PA
Hi all!
Just bought my first Jeep this past weekend, '99 XJ Sport. It's old geezer gold with 136k miles and no mechanical issues. Had a little body damage, got knocked in the quarter panel pretty good, but I already (mostly) popped out the dent. I'm very excited to start playing with my new money pit!
I first need to put on new wheels and tires, and as this is my first Jeep, want to make sure I don't mess it all up. I'm planning on using it as a snow machine to get to work and save my car as well as a mild off road toy. No extreme off-roading or rock climbing (yet). It'll probably be used 40% road, 30% off road, 30% snow.
I'm on stock suspension right now (will lift later), so I was going to go for some 235/75/15 (29") General Grabber AT's on some 15x8 Cragar Soft 8's. Is this a good setup for what I'm going after?
Recommendations are welcome!
I've got some other projects planned: headlight upgrade, brush guard, better fogs, and LED's for the interior. Just gotta get the new shoes first! I will get some pics up here if it ever stops raining.
Looking forward to joining the community. Thanks!

Welcome, from Wisconsin. I have 235/75/15R Cooper S/T (M&S tire) on mine. I love them. A aggressive tread pattern. with minimal road noise. The head light upgrade is well worth the time & money. HID 4H 5000k Hyper white is what I used. And put matching bulbs, in the factory fog lights. (the difference is incredible)

Thanks guys! I appreciate the advice and the welcome.
The fogs I have in aren't factory, some idiot put in what seems like a $10 Autozone special. I think I could be more effective hanging out the window with a flashlight
I'm really going to have to start over, probably rewire them too. Any recommendations on good lights that fit in the factory spots?
Thanks!
