New owner from Iceland
Hey everybody! i just traded my S40 t4 for Black Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2 1996 with Np242 or Np231 im not sure but i love it, How do i check it? The guy who had it before previous owner worked as Car Builder (Car maker) not sure about tje English word.
I have had xj 4.0Ho and wj 4.7. I loved the 4.7 and the power from dig didnt do much offroad since i removed the front shaft did use the 4.0Ho alot offroad and slide it in rain haha but the 4.0Ho was fuel alcoholic and my 4.7 spun connection rod so this is my 3rd jeep and i plan on keeping this for as long as i can.
Pics come tomorrow!

If you have the np242, you will have an option for 4 wheel full time or part time, if you have the np231, you will only have 4 wheel part time. They say the np242 is good for a daily driver, np231 is better for hardcore off-roading.

Just for fun: I drive my 242 in 4-full on the street just to see what it's like and it tries to pull the steering wheel back to straight. Not hard but noticeably.
