New from NY
Hello all, just purchased a very clean 95 cherokee sport this weekend. Rust free cars are extremely hard to come by in upstate NY, so I had to jump on this.
Anyways, this will be my 3rd jeep, but the first one that is actually nice and will be keeping nice. It is after all a 19 year old vehicle and has some issues, but I am hoping some of you can shed some light and help me out... I have already learned a lot just lurking on these forums in the last couple days.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi Carona. I havent had a whole lot of time for pics, as I have been doing some general maintenance, but heres 2 screen shots from the craigslist ad that I bought it from.
Mod wise, I plan to be pretty conservative for the moment, I have a 2002 Camaro that is in great shape, and goes into storage allllll winter.. Which is quite long in NY. Oct/Nov until Apri/May, and that takes up the majority of my money, the rest going to my girlfriend but I definitely want to do some stuff to it.
Want to get a bike rack for either the roof or the hatch, as one of the reasons I wanted a larger vehicle was to be able to go biking with my GF, the other reason being I work with my dad as a painter/remodeler/subcontractor, and needed more room for tools than the 2002 malibu ive been DD'ing this year. With that in mind, does anyone have any recommendations for bicycle racks/transporters? Thanks.
Additionally, I would like to do a small lift (2-4" depending on budget or what I can find for a good deal), and some bigger wheels. I love that aggressive poke look on jeeps with some big ole fender flares.
Heres a pic of my pride and joy
I guess it is slightly ironic that Red is my least favorite color for vehicles ^.^

Nice summer car, I live just south of Buffalo, don't gotta tell me bout winters.....
I used to do the sports car & street bike thing, but being in heavy highway construction, I never got to enjoy them as I work 60+ hours all summer.
I've got a receiver "basket" for the back of my XJ, works good for 2-3 bikes and when going camping, it holds add'l stuff. Also when I need to fill gas cans, I just toss em on the basket & the XJ doesn't smell like gas.
Enjoy the XJ & jump on in the conversation.
