hello all former suzuki sidekick jeep tj, k/5, full-size grand wagoner, owner but started a family and soon realized the tj i owned was not enough vehicle i couldn't even go grocery shopping with wife and child so i sold it. fast forward a couple years the family has really gotten into camping and looking to get something that doesn't break my wallet to build and buy also something i can do some light towing "small buggy with a couple dirt bikes or pop up camper". So my options of possible vehicles quickly slimmed down from jku thats to expensive to maybe a suzuki sidekick not towing much with a 4 cylinder maybe a full-size k-5 good luck finding one of those around hear again then i landed on the xj it really seems to fit my bill for all i want and need I've done a lot of reading and research. I think i can do a real nice build on one for a decent price. i have what i think is a great game plan for a build if anyone cares to listen i may post it up. were would be the best place to post build plans?

Welcome to the forum! There is a section on the main forum called "Jeep Builds" and you can certainly start your own thread there if you want to.

Yeah, well many people have converted them to 4x4 but me personally, I would not want the hassle. I would only buy one that is already a 4x4.

yea you might get off cheap on the initial purchase of the 2wd but unless you have a wrecked xj to steal the running gear from you would spend a fortune at the junk yard buying up the parts needed..
