I just completed a power steering pump swap and have to give KUDOS to JCF members for their excellent advice.
RENT THE RIGHT PULLER!
Local Autozone gave me the wrong one TWICE, but I persevered and it was a piece-o-cake. Right tool for the job makes life easy.
New pump, new pulley and belt too.
JCF saved me time, money and agravation.
To paraphrase George M., My wife thanks you, my kids thank you, my wallet thanks you and most of all I thank you.
2000 XJ bone stock, 240K, no drips AND passes emissions for metro NY.
