Hey everybody, my name is Eric, I live in the Spring area of Texas and I am the proud owner of a 91 XJ. I'm 20 years years old, I'm a retail parts pro at Advance Auto Parts, I just completed my second year of college and I'm in the Delayed Entry Program, awaiting basic tarining(ship date Jan. 7th) in the U.S. Air Force. My life plans are to either make a career out of the AF, or after serving for 4-8 years, become a police officer; local at first then later potentially pursue state or federal law enforcement. I also just got married on August 15th so life is quite exciting right now lol. Before the Jeep I was into the lowered scene, and built a 2G Eclipse and a 98 S10, so this is my first 4wd but I can already say I love the lifestyle. I'm definitely a "built not bought" guy so buying a jeep that was already modified was out of the norm, but all of the modifications that were done were things I planned on doing, and given the price and options I couldn't pass it up. The Rig is a 1991 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 with the 4.0 I6 and a 5 speed manual transmission. The XJ came with Steel/Offroad front and rear bumpers, roof rack, 3"/2" "budget boost" lift, aftermarket headlights and 31"Mud Tires on 15" black soft 8s. I personally have trimmed the fenders, smoked the corner lights, upgraded headlights, did budget sway bar disconnects, installed an auxillary fan overide switch, and swapped the bald mud tires for a set of 31" BFG A/T's, which have now been swapped for a set of 32" BFG M/Ts on 17" JK Rubicon wheels. My future plans include a winch, more lighting, a snorkel, lockers, CB Radio, a 4.5" lift with 33s, fender flares, axles, on-board air, a sound system and small other mods. It's my daily driver but I've gotten a chance to take it out to Creekside Edge off-road park off 59 in splendora a couple times, and I was very pleased with how capable it is already. I look forward to meeting everybody and my future with cherokeeforum
