Hello, I've been lurking in the background for awhile,,, decided to jump in !!! Wanted to share with all of you my latest purchase !!! I picked up a one owner 99 XJ for $800 !!! This one is pretty nice ! Never been messed with or off road !!! It has a few things to fix, but pretty much in excellent shape !!! Only one small area of rust in the rear passenger door sill, otherwise it is solid ! It has 204k on it, but they took decent care of it till recently. It has a wheel bearing hub going out, so they decided to bail on it !!! I am an older Jeep guy! This is my third !!! My first was a 79, CJ-5, my second was a 96 GC. I really tricked out the CJ, but left the Grand stock, as it was new. I just had a hip replacement, so I don't think I will be able to lift my XJ to nose bleed heights !!! At least not this one, it's just too nice to start choppin on !!! I am seriously considering finding another one just for wheeling ! I will be keeping this 99 as a DAD, plus I think that it would be cool to just restore back to new condition! Would be cool to see it running around OEM 10-20 years from now. Well just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to everyone ! Really love the website and look forward to using it !!!

Yeah, gotta few things to fix, new headliner, wheel bearing hub, back hatch latch and lift cylinders. Put a new Interstate battery in and did an oil change and lube. Want to do a tune-up and flush the radiator, got no heat ! Then going to service the transmission and transfer case. After that want to replace all of the main oil gaskets. A good brake job next. The rear springs are a bit saggy. That's when I will start messing with it !!! Can't decide wether to replace the OEM springs, maybe just a RE add a leaf and just raise it two inches with the front coil spring spacer ? Kinda like to put 31x10.50s on it ???
