Hey everyone!
New to the group here, although I’ve been digging through posts on the forum for the past month or so in my search for a used KL-Trailhawk. I was hoping to get some input from some firsthand experts! Unfortunately the most vocal people on the internet are generally those who have had the worst experiences, and my own mom was on the receiving end of a 2014 lemon.. Nevertheless, I’m hellbent on finding the right Trailhawk!
So, I’m currently looking at a certified 2015 KL-Trailhawk with 43k miles and I was wondering - how has everyone’s Trailhawk held up with the mileage? Is 43k a lot for a good Trailhawk, or is it just getting broken in at this range? What I’ve gathered from my research is that I just need to pay extra close attention to the tranny’s history, and if I am going to take a risk I at least need to either have some of the OE powertrain warranty remaining (preferably bumper-to-bumper) or make sure to purchase extended coverage. Are there any other larger concerns that I need to pay close attention to buying a ‘15 or ‘16? Also, does anyone have any input on buying a certified TH? Can I expect that to mean no big issues should arise, or is that basically just good for the extended coverage? Just for some background, I live in Ohio and would be using my TH as a daily driver.
Any and all input is appreciated! I expect to be a fully-functioning member of the group before years’ end! Cheers!!
