So I got a new job in a lake effect snow area, and learned that my camry just wouldn't cut it up there. Tried finding some tacos and first gent 4runners, but they were either $6k+ or so badly rotted it wasn't even worth the time. Then I started looking at jeeps, started with early 00's libertys, then made my way to looking at cherokees. The first two I looked at were complete bags-o-crap. The second one I found was a mint, no rust 96 5spd 4x4 with 150k on the clock. Then I found this one, it spoke to me, no screamed, catastrophe, and I knew I had to have it. Mechanically, its sound, only realy issues are the tires, lack of turn signals, and the passangers door doesn't open. Its a 99 5spd 4x4 with around 125k miles. I've never owned a lifted vehicle before, actually I usually did the opposite and slammed em to the ground. But yeah, here she is, more pics will be in the eventual "build thread"

Welcome to the forum!
That 1996 sounds like good one. It's un-molested! And a 5-speed!
Around here, folks run the exhaust tip up like that to drive through water, just not in a Camry.
How does the jeep run and drive? Any issues with it? I'm sure we can help.

It shifts kinda stiff(have to use some muscle to put it into gear) also the alt is on the way out, and no turn signals. It has a heated zj drivers seat. No parking brake, the cables kinda just hanging there underneath, looks like there used to be a braket of some sort. Rear axle has some sort of truss looking setup. Cel light is on too, but for $850 I can't complain.
