New guy from SWFL
Hey everyone, new guy from SWFL. Just recently picked up my first jeep, which is a 97 Cherokee Sport 4x4. Was given a deal I couldnt pass up since I was looking for a tow rig for my little 22' Baja Sport speedboat project. But will also do some light/medium trail riding with it. Dont have any crazy plans for it, but I have already gotten ahold of:
- Rough Country 4.5" lift
- Rough Country adjustable track bar
- Factory 2002 Wrangler 15x8 wheels
- And a used set of 32x11.5R15 BF Goodrich A/T tires to get me buy until I get a wheel, and tire package that I like.
Hoping to learn alot from this site, and hopefully make some new friends!

Central FL here, that's not a bad start. Some will say look out for the 97 as the wiring can be a pain in the *** when trying to figure things out (Jeep was piecing things together the first year) I say the advantage of getting the HP30 and the 29 spline 8.25 means you got a score!

You should have a high pinion dana 30 in the front and a 29 spline 8.25 out back (like 99% sure, there's always a chance you got an odd ball or someone replaced components throughout it's twenty plus years on the road) couple that with the 4.0 and the AW4/231 and you've got the best starting point to build from (imho)
