New Jeep and New to the Forum

What's going on?! Name is Jared and I got a "new" 1999 XJ Limited bone stock. I like 8 years ago I had a 1996 mid year that was locked, lifted, long arms and on 34's.

Either way, I think I got a great deal on this XJ at $3k, compared to what I have seen recently. Overall it's real clean and it only had one owner, a pilot for American Airlines:
- 1999 XJ Limited
- NP242
- Aisin automatic
- D30 front 8.25 29 spline out back.
- 220,000 on the clock. But the owners son blew the engine and had the entire thing rebuilt 30K ago. Complete rebuild with a new header (since the original was cracked).
- Infiniti stereo
- Leather/power seats.

So far my plans are nothing crazy...yet.
- - New Stereo
- TNT Frame stiffeners
- Skid plates
- 4" lift w/ 33s
- Front/rear bumpers (maybe)

I live near Raleigh and would love to find some trails around here.

A question I had. I am not sure if the owner had the seats re-cushioned or if that's how they are, but I feel like I sit ridiculously high. I lowered the electric seat as far as it will go and my head has the smallest of gaps between the new headliner. I am only 6'1" on a good day. I

Just to add from when I first introduced myself. I was having some issues with the electrical, tossed in a 160A durango alternator, new battery and am going to install this beefy wiring kit.

Best I can tell from your pictures is that the seats are the way they came from the factory.
I always believed the manual seat bases to sit lower.
I also believe that the seat bottoms are all the same height whether cloth, leather, on a one piece seat, or removable headrest seat.
From your pictures I am not seeing heated seats which to me means that the passenger side is a manual.
Any difference for you when you sit in that one?

You are correct on both, the passenger is manual and lower, the drivers is electric and much higher. I think for now I am going to leave it as is as I address a few other things first.
