Recently got this 2001 xj from someone with a lack of mechanical skills. Been a headache so far but it is starting to come around!
Jeep was idling very high and had multiple misfires. As far as the misfires go I found this in three holes...
The high idle was from a bad ecu, luckily I pulled one from a parts jeep I picked up the day after I got this one.
After removing about a mile of wiring, replacing tps and ect sensor and fixing spark plugs it finally seems to be happy, down side is radiator is leaking now. Ready to get all these bugs worked out so I can start building the cool stuff!
Still have to fix the front end (no pinion in it) going to use some stuff from the parts jeep. After that hopefully I can start building some bumpers and a roof rack. Still up in the air on doing a pretty simple exo-cage to tie it all together. We will see what time and money will allow. Lol
