Hi everyone, my name's Krystal, and I just bought my first Jeep (her name's Kizzy--and yes, I'm a vehicle namer).
She's a 1998 Cherokee (Sport), "Gunmetal Pearl" which just kinda looks like an awesome light blue to me...with grey cloth interior, Automatic, bone stock (though I will be doing some slight modifications to her eventually, once we get some legitimate fixes done).
I have always liked Cherokees (and Comanches) from afar, but until recently didn't actually consider owning one. I come from a "Chevy or Die" family, so for me to own something else is a bit like painting a target on my back.
After making several Jeep loving friends and finding out that a younger cousin of mine has a Cherokee (mainly used for off roading), I felt more comfortable taking a closer look, especially since I wanted a vehicle that could fit not only my dog (who is a German Shepherd), but also other people! I was driving a 97' RWD S-10 pickup with a cap (her name's Lola), and as you can guess, it didn't quite cut it anymore.
So here I am, new to Jeeps, new to my Cherokee but loving every second of her, despite some issues that need fixin'. And new to this forum. I hope to learn a lot here, and make some new friends as well. I'm not a wheeler myself, but I can appreciate a good wheelin' vehicle! I've got a few questions, but that's for another thread in another area. I look forward to meeting y'all!
