Yeah, or if you're like me, you're awake at both.

Haha, anyhow, that link didn't come up because it's not for sale anymore... Because somebody bought it.. I'll get some pics up when I have time. I sorta changed my philosophy about getting a perfect xj and decided that an imperfect one, that I don't have to try to keep perfect, will be more fun. So, I just grabbed something with very little rust, some dings and scratches, that is mechanically sound. I figure I can get out and have some fun without fussing about it looking great.

I'll upload some pics when I get a sec.

That's a good philosophy, looking forward to the pics.

That's pretty much what I did. My '99 has some rust, but not serious, also dings and scratches. But mechanically it's in great shape, came with a lot of new stuff, even had near 2 years left on state inspection; plus it was pretty cheap. And guess what - it was real grubby looking when I got it, but after painting the fender flares and bumpers, and doing a quick wash and wax job it looks pretty decent! (Sure you can see the defects when you get up close but I'm pretty happy with the results.)

Interior is pretty decent. Headliner was drooping, which I "fixed" with spiral upholstery tacks. Other than that there are just a few rips on the driver's seat, will be looking for some seat covers.

Thumbs up

Well, that's the pic from when I first brought it home. It's looking better now. I haven't had much time for the XJ since family life has been challenging lately, but it looking to get better soon.

Low down on the XJ:

The exterior is kinda rough, some dents and scrapes, definitely won't be the last.
The power door locks and windows work!
CB radio, although I don't like the install location
Seats are a little dirty, but not ripped.

Rough country lift 4.5" (I think)
32x11.50R15 BF Goodrich Mud terrain with full size spare and decent tread
Upgraded adjustable track bar
Upgraded adjustable lower control arms
Upgraded tie rod
Custom front bumper
Rock sliders (came with Jeep, not installed yet)
Removable winch plate to connect to receiver.

Since I bought it:
Removed all the stickers and decals, except the "Jeep" on the front and back.
Spark plugs/wires/distributor cap.
Clockspring (install tonight).
New motor mounts (probably install this weekend).
Installed Mevotech ttx upper and lower ball joints, passenger side.
Fixed hatch clunk/rattle by adjusting bump stoppers.
The track bar mount was shaped like an oval causing clicking, so I filled it in with a weld and drilled it out. No more clicking.

Planned:
Track down clunking from rear (I don't like having a vehicle that sounds like a pile of crap when you're driving down a dirt road).
Looking to improve ride comfort (I like to drive kinda quick on dirt). Seriously considering an iron rock offroad long arm kit, but that's pretty far down the road.
Custom roof rack, since I want get the spare tire out of the cargo area.
Cargo net to keep my dog in the cargo area. Haven't decided if I'm going to get a raingler or trailtuff.
Napier precision fender flares (quarter folded).
Custom seat brackets (lower), since I already messed my neck up getting out of the drivers seat...
Widen the custom front bumper to provide more protection.
Fold rear quarter panels.
Custom rear bumper, nothing fancy, just functional.
