New guy from Joliet, Illinois
Hello everybody. My name is Phil and I am in Joliet. I just purchased a 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport:thumbup1: It has the 4.0L 6 cylinder. I think it is the International Harvester motor. (by the sound of it). It has 103,000 miles on her. It is a true statement that if you don't like the weather in Illinois, wait an hour. We have had some mind numbing winters here.
I bought this Jeep because it LOOKS like a Jeep, not like the new ones. Plus I could afford this one. It doesn't have GPS, Sirius radio, OnStar. It has an AM/FM cassette radio that I can turn up the radio while driving WITHOUT having to use a touch panel and take my eyes off the road:icon_confused: It is a 4X4 like a true Jeep. My wife loves it (I think maybe to much, I may have a fight on my hands.:whistling2:) Automatic transmission, A/C, power windows. Now if I could just figure out a way to install a coffee pot I would be golden. I am a lab technician. I make paint for satellites, I prepare equipment for paint for NASA, SpaceX, Harris Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin to name a few. The job doesn't pay real well, but it is a living. I am 58 years old and proud to say I am happily married. Pam is a terrific kady. That's about it folks. I am new to a lot of things called Jeep. So I can say pretty certain that I will be reaching out to you folks, Till we speak again I bid you peace. Phil |
