New guy here

Hello everyone,

I was recommended to this site from a friend for some advice. I'm looking into buying my first jeep here shortly. I'm looking at 2 right now. First is a 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited wih 80k on it and the second is a 2000 Cherokee Sport with 98k. I'm just looking for some advice on which I should get. Like the pros and cons and stuff. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome!!!!

:worthless: of the vehicles,

need to know more about both. but right now i would say go with the regular Cherokee you'll enjoy it much more and you can defiantly modify it alot easier than a grand Cherokee.

From the looks i would still say go with the regular cherokee. plus it would be a great start, or a great daily, or both.

Welcome to CF.
That is a clean XJ but it carries a very high price as well.
The WJ gives a better ride, has more room, and will tow more and better, if similarly equipped, that the XJ. Plus the WJ had the option of an available V8 to tow even more.

Ol'blue- little off topc here but, i was reading some where that people really want the 02-04 model grand cherokee why is this and not the others model years

BigDusty Sep 20, 2010 03:22 PM

^^Go figure the grand cherokee I wan is an '02...haha.

The grand cherokee I am looking at hast he 4.7L V8 in it. I do plan on doing some towing in the summer months and room in the vehicle would be nice as well.

And the price on the regular cherokee is pretty high. I work at a bank so I have easy access to the NADA guides. I could get them down a minimum of $1500 for that cherokee.

THENNING Sep 20, 2010 08:51 PM

yea thats pretty steep for that cherokee
