Default New guy from good ol Maine

Hello everyone, just poking in to tell a bit of myself. I have recently purchased an xj, but I'm not new to the jeep world. I'm a mechanic and I've worked on many jeeps. I once owned a tricked out yj but had to sell it along with all the other toys when the kiddos came along. But I'm back in the game and hope to keep tabs on here about my new build.

Welcome! So tell us a little about the XJ and the plans, and pics of the YJ while you're at it. We like pics.

Thanks guys. For now the plan is to build it into a funchional but street legal trail rig. Plans include a 3-4 inch lift and 31's.

It's a little rough around the edges right now as the last owner beat her a bit. But the subframe is solid and i have a spare transmission and engine if it were needed. My kiddos are just as excited as i am to start work on it. I'll have to go through an old computer to try to find some picks of the old yj.
