New Guy From Eastern VA

Hey everyone.
Just joined this group of Cherokee people. Never realized there were this many around LOL. I'm presently at one Cherokee again until I find another project one. Have a '91 Cherokee but have owned a '89 and '90 versions too. I keep finding them for cheap it seems. The green one I have pictured here I paid $300 for in Newport News and drove it home. (Not with the wheels you see on it now) It's a heavily loaded Laredo version with 4X4 and auto tranny. Love the 4.0L engines in these things. Been into Jeeps now for several years. I seem to love them already.

Welcome from Blue in deep South Texas. I have relatives in that area. Get up there every couple of years. Used to work in the shipyard right out of High School in the 60s.
Anyway welcome to CF. Glad to have you here.
Blue:thumbsup:

The switch to the 8-1/4 is planned. I have great junkyards in my area to rebuild most anything on these Jeeps I need to. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. (And speaking of the shipyard here in NN that's where I have worked now for the last 25 yrs lol!)

What department you in. I was 43 Machinery Installation. Helped build the Kennedy and went on her first sea trails. Then worked on subs.

Actually I started in X-43 back in 1983 when I began there. Switched over to a welding Apprenticeship in 1987 and am now a Planner in what was X-10 now X-54 or God knows what. I almost did sea trials on the Enterprise overhaul but that didn't happen. (And by the way I am still looking for a blue XJ just haven't found the right one. Gotta have '91-'96 version at least)
